Delivering projects is no fun. How do you do it?

To manage a project, you need to know its current status, which not only the project manager needs to know, but also other stakeholders, including sponsors and management. CTO Milan Bodlák wrote about how we work on project deliveries “from A to Z” in the article How to learn from mistakes and constantly move forward . Today, let’s look at the same topic ” delivery of complex projects “, but from the perspective of a Delivery Director, specifically Tomáš Holý. You will read what tools help him manage large projects, what potential he sees in ongoing reports, and what methodologies we use.

Reporting and its automation

Reporting is a key part of every project. We conduct project  chinese overseas canada database reporting on weekly project statuses, where the project manager presents the status of the project. The project manager draws on various data sources as well as his own knowledge. Such a report requires time to prepare, may contain inaccuracies and is not immediately available on request.

That’s why we are now investing in full reporting automation, which will allow us to make data accurate and available immediately (NRT).

We are currently analyzing the expanded capabilities of the JIRA tool, which is our primary project tool, with an emphasis on reporting. This year, we plan to integrate the JIRA application with Salesforce in order to extract the maximum amount of data for reporting. Our vision is to further use the simulation of the acquired data, which would help us predict the development of the project. And not only according to the current trend, but with the ability to predict the consequences of changes made, or corrective actions on a given project.

Project methodology

For a project to be successful, it needs to be managed. And in setting up a company in japan  order to manage it, we need to have set rules and procedures for how we will achieve this. As part of our internal methodology, we use an agile approach combined with a hybrid approach (a combination of waterfall and agile approaches). We use the hybrid approach especially for FTFP (Fixed Time Fixed Price) deliveries, where it is necessary to grasp a larger analytical part as a whole, based on which it is possible to subsequently plan the implementation, thus guaranteeing the time and costs of the entire project.

We succeed in establishing mutual trust and transparency with our customers while fully utilizing the flexibility that an agile approach brings.

In such a case, we use the classic T&M (Time & Material) model, where  thailand data the customer pays us based on the real monthly cost. In both cases, it is always necessary to take into account the specifics of the project and the customer, including their approach, to which we are able to adapt as much as possible.
